The best part of contemporary homes? The spans of glass that can take place of an entire wall. The worst part? The exact thing that makes them awesome. Why? You have huge parts of your wall filled with the worst way to insulate. This is true for both warm and cold climates, although the direction the window faces does play a part in how the heating and cooling bill is affected.
I didn’t design this home (contemporary/modern isn’t my zone of genius), but when I was asked to do a rendering for it, I jumped at the chance. I normally do renderings depicting a bright, happy, sunny day, but this one screamed to be portrayed during a moody dusk.
